OAJC works to: protect the civil and religious rights of all; insure Israel’s security; advance efforts to protect human rights and human dignity; combat anti-Semitism; reduce intergroup tensions; promote Jewish values in discussions of public policy; and enrich the quality of Jewish life.
OAJC is involved in a number of initiatives and inter-group programs including the Coalition Against Hate Crimes (of which we are the founding organization), and dialogues with the Catholics, Latter Day Saints, Latinos and other groups. OAJC is proud to have been the managing sponsor of the exhibit Anne Frank: A History for Today, experienced by nearly 60,000 people at Lloyd Center in 2002 and the lead organization in the creation of the Oregon Holocaust Memorial.
